The UMWA Marine Highway 35 Workshop will be held June 25 at Western Illinois University Riverfront Campus– 3300 River Drive, Moline, IL. This one-day workshop brings industry leaders and stakeholders together for focused, solutions-driven conversations about the working river, what it takes to keep freight moving and where investments can unlock new efficiency and use of the Upper Mississippi River.

Nothing tells the story of the river better than experiencing it firsthand. Following the workshop (weather permitting) participants are invited to stay for a barge tour carefully guided by Upper Mississippi Fleeting. The tour will pass through a lock, offering a unique river view of the many businesses that depend on the Marine Highway for transportation. Shuttle buses will transport attendees from the workshop site to the barge loading area and return them after the tour.
